Plagiarism Policy
BRICS does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts are checked with similarity-detection software during initial screening and may be checked again at later stages.
- Plagiarism includes copying text, ideas, data, figures, or results from others without proper attribution, as well as self-plagiarism (re-using one's own published work without citation) and redundant or duplicate publication.
- Similarity reports are evaluated by the editor in context; properly quoted and cited material and reference lists are taken into account.
- Manuscripts found to contain substantial plagiarism will be rejected. Where plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be corrected or retracted in accordance with COPE guidelines, and the authors' institutions may be informed.
