Retraction and Correction Policy

BRICS is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record and follows COPE Retraction Guidelines.

  • Correction (Erratum/Corrigendum): Published when a significant error that does not invalidate the findings is identified. The correction is linked to the original article.
  • Expression of Concern: May be issued when there is inconclusive evidence of misconduct or an investigation is under way.
  • Retraction: Issued when findings are unreliable due to major error or misconduct, or in cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research, or authorship manipulation. Retracted articles remain available online, clearly marked as retracted, together with a retraction notice explaining the reasons.

Requests for corrections or retractions may be sent to editor@bricsreview.org.
